Cómo hacer funcionar NVIDIA’s Medusa demo en ATI

Tommti-System has released a patch for ATI users to run the NVIDIA Medusa demo(GT200) on their graphics cards, here is the manual by Tommti-System:

Applying the patch

  • download the Medusa demo and install it (click here)
  • download the patch on Tommti-System and copy the patcher.exe into Medusa\bin directory
  • run patcher.exe – Medusa.exe and MedusaLoading.exe will be patched and backed up
  • now you only new a nvcpl.dll file from a nvidia driver and copy the nvcpl.dll into Medusa\bin

Getting the nvcpl.dll

  • download an nvidia driver (You can check the 175.80 leaked driver here)
  • exctract all files
  • open a command promt and go to the extraction directory
  • run “expand nvcpl.dl_ nvcpl.dll” from the command line
  • now you have a nvcpl.dll in the exctraction directory, copy it to Medusa\bin

However, we countered some bad frames when we ran the demo. Maybe it’s caused by our OS or the patch.

After everyone forgot NVIDIA still have some upcoming products, Haier have announced a new PC X6-B060, with the 55nm G92-280 product 9800GT.

The card supports Hybrid Power, clocks at 600/1500/1800 MHz(core/shader/memory), just like a 8800GT. We believe it will be officially announce soon.

looking on the surface, they may share same PCB design, but saphire features 1GB GDDR3

using Qimonda 1.0ns GDDR3,  8 module sum for 1 GB memory and run at 1986 MHz
